Our Programs
Peace and Governance
Our Peace and Governance program promotes peaceful coexistence, accountable leadership, and inclusive decision-making by empowering youth and women as peacebuilders and civic leaders. Through peace education, community dialogue, civic engagement, and policy advocacy, we strengthen social cohesion, transparency, and public participation in shaping Somalia’s future.
Education and Capacity Development
We’re committed to equipping young people and women with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to reach their potential and contribute meaningfully to society. Through training, mentorship, leadership development, knowledge-sharing, and advocacy, we strengthen individual capacities, promote lifelong learning, and nurture informed and empowered community change makers.
Economic Empowerment
Our Economic Empowerment program expands economic opportunities for young people and women by promoting entrepreneurship, employability, and sustainable livelihoods. Through enterprise development, financial education, skills-building, and access to economic opportunities, we support economic independence, strengthen household resilience, and contribute to inclusive local economic growth.
Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability
YECO Somalia’s Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability program addresses climate and environmental challenges by engaging young people and women in climate awareness, environmental protection, and community-led resilience initiatives. Through sustainable practices, responsible resource management, and climate advocacy, we strengthen community capacity to respond to environmental risks and promote a healthier, more sustainable future.
Social Justice and Human Rights
Our Social Justice and Human Rights program advances equality, dignity, inclusion, and respect for fundamental human rights. Through rights education, awareness-raising, community dialogue, and stakeholder collaboration, we address discrimination and promote the meaningful participation of youth, women, and marginalized communities in social and public life, contributing to a more just and equitable Somalia.
